hierro forjado. trabajo español de los siglos xiii-xiv. presenta restauración en un asa. parrilla posterior. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n brasero realizado en hierro forjado que consta de base circular, tres patas planas, cuerpo formado por dos aros planos unidos por secciones verticales decoradas con sencillos roleos enfrentados, y dos asas en la parte superior similares a las secciones y terminadas en sendas arandelas. al interior, presenta una parrilla de hierro de fecha posterior a la del resto de la pieza con restauración en un asa. \n \n \n es muy similar a otro brasero de hierro forjado fechado entre los siglos xii y xiii que actualmente se encuentra en colección privada; compárese también con un tercero, rectangular, del museu episcopal de vic, datado en el siglo xiv. las espirales que forman la decoración de la pieza son frecuentemente denominados \u201chierros de rizos\u201d, un elemento utilizado en los escasos ejemplos de rejería y trabajo de hierro románico que conservamos. debemos tener presentes las decoraciones de las rejas de la iglesia de santa maría del camino o del mercado en león o la que se ha situado en el coro en la iglesia de san vicente de ávila, o las conservadas en el museo diocesano de jaca (huesca). \n \n \n los ejemplares conservados de braseros románicos son muy escasos: cuadrados, con el mismo tipo de espirales, uno en el museo diocesano de tarragona y otro en posesión de la junta de castilla y león. el museo arqueológico nacional y la catedral de tarragona custodian piezas relacionables con la que zquí nos ocupa. \n \n \n bibliografía
